- Proxy works in the checker but not in the profile
Hit this twice, and both times it was the password. A checker and a browser do not escape special characters the same way, so a proxy with an @ or a colon in the credential can pass one and fail the other. Re-enter it, and if the provider lets you, rotate to a password without punctuation and try again. If that is not it, confirm the profile was actually saved with the proxy — an edit that was never saved tests fine in the checker.

Had exactly this last week. Restarting the profile rather than the whole app sorted it.
