Agreed, and the two-attribute case is exactly where a single group breaks down. The stopgap I use is putting the second attribute in the name — client-platform, so a search on either half narrows the list — and keeping the group for whichever one I filter by most. It is not tags, but it makes both dimensions findable, which is most of what you want.
