For me it was moving to one proxy per profile. Everything before that was guesswork.

client-platform-number is close to what I use. The addition I would make is a short code you can say out loud, because you will eventually be reading one off a screen to someone. The window title carries the profile name, so a name that is unique in its first few characters saves squinting at a taskbar full of them. Anything longer than about 30 characters starts fighting the list.

Check the proxy first — nine times out of ten that is what it turns out to be for me.

This matches my experience. Consistency has mattered more than uniqueness for me.
